Janelle Martin
Associate Vice President for Development
Janelle joined the SparkWheel staff fall 2016. She comes to the CIS staff with more than a dozen years of experience in the non-profit and government arena as the executive director for the Douglas County Community Health Improvement Partnership (CHIP) and the director of education at LMH Health. Prior to her position with CHIP, Janelle served in various positions within the University of Kansas Athletics Department as an Assistant and Associate Athletics Director working in the areas of scholarships and NCAA compliance. She began her career as assistant sports information director at Northern Illinois University after receiving a B.S. in journalism from the University of Kansas. She received her M.A. in organizational communication studies at KU in 2019. Janelle lives in Lawrence with the Development Team’s mascot, an active and precocious Boston terrier, Nicki.
