Miranda Carpenter

Director of Special Events

Miranda joined SparkWheel in 2019 as a Student Support Coordinator in Southeast Kansas. In July of 2022, she accepted a position with the Development Team as Development Manager and, in July of 2023, was promoted to Director of Special Events. Miranda has over 15 years of experience in various nonprofit work, ranging from mental health to parent support and community engagement. Miranda graduated from Emporia State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Services and from Capella University in 2020 with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, and Leadership. Miranda resides in Neodesha, Kansas, with her husband Barton and their two boys, Judge and Meyer. Outside of work, Miranda enjoys family time - playing outside with her boys, Sunday Dinner at her in-laws, spending time in Kansas City with her parents, and traveling to Omaha to see her sister’s family.
