SparkWheel Receives $120,000 Grant from an Anonymous Donor to Support Integrated Student Programs in Waterloo Schools

WATERLOO, IA – SparkWheel is honored to announce the continued support through an anonymous donor advised fund at the National Philanthropic Trust advised by J.P. Morgan Private Foundation Services. This $120,000 grant award funds integrated student supports at Central Middle School and George Washington Carver Academy in Waterloo, Iowa. This generous grant marks the tenth consecutive year that the anonymous donor has partnered with SparkWheel to improve student outcomes in Waterloo schools. 


The funding will help SparkWheel continue its essential work providing targeted support to students, focusing on academic success, behavior improvement, and personal growth. Last year alone, SparkWheel’s efforts at Central Middle School and George Washington Carver Academy impacted 920 students, with 115 receiving targeted individual support. Among those students, 99% were promoted to the next grade, and 75% demonstrated significant behavioral improvements.

With this generous funding, SparkWheel can deepen its impact, ensuring students at Central Middle School and George Washington Carver Academy receive the support necessary to reach their full potential.
