INDEPENDENCE AND NEODESHA, KS — SparkWheel is honored to announce it has been awarded a $4,000 grant from the Independence Area Community Chest to enhance programming and support for over 1,700 students in the Independence and Neodesha communities. This funding will allow SparkWheel to complement existing resources while addressing critical gaps in student support services, removing barriers to success, and ensuring students can attend school more regularly and in the best conditions for learning.
The Independence Area Community Chest, a vital organization that supports 26 community agencies in Montgomery, Wilson, Elk, and Chautauqua counties, is dedicated to promoting education, income, health, and rebuilding lives. Their annual fundraising campaign unites local workplace initiatives and individual contributions to achieve their 2025 goal of raising $130,000 to benefit programs that make a lasting impact.
