SparkWheel Receives $500 Grant from Future Fund Giving Circle

PITTSBURG, KANSAS – SparkWheel is thrilled to announce its receipt of a $500 grant from the Future Fund Giving Circle, administered by the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas (CFSEK). This grant will bolster SparkWheel's initiatives in Pittsburg, Kansas, focusing on empowering at-risk youth and fostering positive community engagement.


Established in 2005, the Future Fund Giving Circle has been instrumental in building a permanent endowed fund aimed at supporting local charitable projects. Annually, the Giving Circle grants 5% of the fund's balance to eligible organizations. Through a collaborative effort, Future Fund members review grant applications from local entities and collectively decide on the projects to fund. Over the years, the Future Fund has distributed more than $100,000 to various charitable endeavors, exemplifying the spirit of community philanthropy.

The Future Fund Giving Circle comprises dedicated community members from Crawford County who unite their resources to effect positive change. Through annual contributions of $250 per member, the Future Fund is able to distribute grants annually to support community initiatives. Since its inception, the Future Fund Giving Circle has awarded over $179,000 in grants, making a significant impact on the region's nonprofit landscape.


Devin Gorman, Executive Director of CFSEK, expressed his appreciation for the collective efforts of the Future Fund members, stating, "The Future Fund embodies the essence of community solidarity, transforming individual contributions into a powerful force for positive change."
