Matthew Godinez
Assistant Secretary of State
Matthew Godinez is the Director of Performance & Programming for the Kansas Commerce. Matthew is a native of Chanute, KS, and attended Neosho County Community College before transferring to Emporia State University. From 2002 to 2015, he lived in the Lawrence and Kansas City area and returned home to Chanute in 2015 with his wife Casey who is also a Chanute native. Since joining the CRDA he has been named one of the Top 50 Economic Developers in North America in 2018, and Top 40 under 40 in Economic Development in 2019, and most recently completed Leadership Kansas in 2019.
Matthew serves on various state and regional non-profit boards. Matthew enjoys traveling, golf, and fishing with his wife and two children.
