Success Story

This year, *Miguel has struggled with behavior and compliance.

Miguel's mother does not speak English and was struggling to understand what was going on with Miguel and why he was getting disciplinary referrals daily.

Our SparkWheel Student Support Coordinator built a relationship with Miguel's mother and interpreted conversations with the mother and school staff.

Miguel's mom now attends school events and feels comfortable despite the language barrier. Miguel loves to see his mom at school, and he is proud to show his mom how hard he has worked to improve his behavior.

*Name has been changed and a stock image used to protect the identity of the student.
